My friend and studiomate, Linda Lucia Santana, recently created a blog for her work! Her work is largely influenced by Mexican folklore and culture, particularly the legend of La Llorona, a woman who drowned her children to be with the man she loved and was banned from Heaven until she found them (at least that is one version of the story). An unsettling tale indeed, but Linda's work provides a different point of view and creates a La Llorona many of us can actually relate to.
