My friend and awesome metalsmith, Calina C. Shevlin, let me borrow her copy of The Book as Art: Artists' Books from the National Museum of Women in the Arts. I have yet to read it, but the images are stunning! Two of my favorite artists, Julie Chen and Karen Kunc, both have work featured. This book's focus appears to be more about the concept of each work and how it's form follows it's function, as opposed to focusing primarily on the book's construction. I would recommend anyone interested in the book arts to check this one out!
